Description:
Nongae is one of the most adored of all Korean Heroines. During the Japanese occupation of Korea in the late 1500’s known as Imji-warran, the Japanese soldiers took the most beautiful Ginsang (Geishas) as their sexual slaves. Nongae was among the abused and captive artists. She won her claim to fame by locking her 10 jade rings together in a lovers embrace and bringing a Japanese general to his death by pushing him backwards into the Namgang River at Jinju and holding him down to his death and her own as well.
